Meet the founder

Victoria Prew could clearly see that there’s no place for fast fashion in a sustainable future. The solution? Avoid buying new, and use what’s in your wardrobe – or rather, what’s in someone else’s. Her rental platform HURR promotes access over ownership, connecting lenders and renters of good-quality clothing and accessories, and facilitating a new kind of sharing economy to challenge our perspective as fashion consumers.

Why we invested

We first met Victoria in 2020. Leading people away from overconsumption is something the Octopus Ventures team cares deeply about. Knowing that the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions, we were impressed by Victoria's commitment to promoting a sustainable way for people to access fantastic fashion. We’re committed to supporting HURR’s mission to inspire a new generation through a community-centric ecosystem that’s creating a better future for fashion.
