Hope Johnson
Hope joined the fintech team at Octopus Ventures in 2023 with a keen interest in the ways fintech businesses stand to support and accelerate the sustainability transition. Before joining Octopus Ventures she held the role of Principal at Planet First Partners, a climate-tech focused growth equity fund, where she concentrated on European companies under the Energy Transition and Green Cities themes.
Earlier career highlights include a four-year stint at the Boston Consulting Group, where from her base in Washington DC, Hope honed her skills across the CPG, public health and private investment sectors.
Originally from Hertfordshire, Hope holds a double degree in Maths and Finance from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, USA, in addition to an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Outside the office, she’s a keen tennis player who, in her younger years, competed internationally. If she’s not on the courts with the women’s team at the Queens Club in London, you’ll most likely find Hope on the slopes, hiking, or dabbling in touch rugby.
