Laura Willming
Laura heads our People + Talent team, helping founders and leaders develop successful people and talent strategies that lead to stellar companies.
The team focuses on the whole employee experience – recruitment, engagement, leadership development and culture.
Laura joined Octopus Ventures in 2019 and previously spent four years in talent acquisition and as a people business partner at Harry’s, a global direct-to-consumer startup that grew by more than 10 times during her time there.
She started her career as a user research designer at design and production company Menlo Innovations, where she designed products for people in workplaces, which fuelled her interest in businesses and team culture.
She studied industrial and operations engineering at the University of Michigan and is fascinated by the intersection of human-centric design and organisational psychology.
