Ruhitha Chandagari Venkat
Ruhitha joined Octopus Ventures in 2023, bringing with her deep expertise in deep tech community building. A former founder, she draws on her own entrepreneurial experience to strengthen Octopus Ventures contribution to the UK tech ecosystem. As co-lead of the Octopus Ventures Mentorship Programme, she is focused on fostering the partnerships and connections that act as accelerants for growth.
Before taking on her current role, Ruhitha ran Octopus Ventures’ early-stage, Deep Tech Climate Accelerator. It’s a role she was well prepared for, with previous experience as a Deep Tech investor and Head of Portfolio and Community at a fund specialising in future-facing technologies.
With an academic background in business – including a Master’s in Entrepreneurship from Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School, where she continues to lecture and mentor cohorts – Ruhitha brings a blend of academic and operational experience to her work with portfolio companies.
When she’s not in the office, you might find her flinging herself out of an aeroplane or indulging in another adventure sport. On quiet days, she enjoys reading and nurturing her indoor garden.
