Stan Williams
Stan is an investor at Octopus Ventures, backing exceptional founders at Seed and Series A. He partners closely with the teams he supports and helps them navigate the journey from early traction to scalable, enduring growth.
He brings more than a decade of venture experience. Before joining Octopus, Stan was Partner and Head of VCT at Fuel Ventures, where he launched and led the firm’s VCT programme, raising £10m in its first year. He invested in 14 technology companies and sourced notable successes including ContentCal (acquired by Adobe for $110m) and Capdesk (acquired by Carta for $88m). Over his career, he has raised more than £100m for funds and portfolio businesses from HNWs, family offices and institutions, and has built and led teams across sourcing, fundraising and portfolio support.
