Harry Leeming and Luke Martin-Fuller
Co-Founders, Visible
Meet the founder
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, a previously overlooked set of health issues was thrown sharply into view. Post-viral conditions, and associated illnesses such as chronic fatigue, have long been treated as ‘invisible’ illnesses. Visible’s co-founders, Harry Leeming and Luke Martin-Fuller are on a mission to change this and extend life-changing support to the hundreds of millions of people living with energy-limiting conditions. Visible leverages the latest in wearable technology to apply the logic of fitness trackers to illness. Their wearable platform helps those living with chronic health conditions pace themselves, to better manage their energy and symptoms.
“When we first spoke to Octopus, we really didn’t have much to show for ourselves apart from a vision as to how we could use wearables to help manage chronic health conditions. They helped us kick start the earliest development of the company and make sure that we could build a team, and we’d have enough financial firepower to get something in people’s hands. It really unlocked the next stages of our journey.”

Why we invested
We believe that advances in health tech have the potential to make a global impact. With Visible, Harry and Luke have created a wearable tech platform that promises nothing less. Awareness of energy-limiting conditions is growing, but people living with them are still chronically underserved. Visible’s platform doesn’t just give those people the tools to manage their symptoms – it also offers them the option to share their data with researchers dedicated to uncovering the causes of these symptoms, and develop the treatments they so desperately need. Harry has used his challenging experiences as a catalyst for action, to help millions more sufferers. If that isn’t a true pioneer – we don’t know what is.
