Milly Cleal
Milly joined the Octopus Ventures People + Talent team in 2022 to advise and support our pioneering portfolio companies as they scale up to shape the future.
Over almost a decade in London, Milly has honed her experience building teams at some of the city’s most exciting consumer-facing businesses, including global mobile games developer, King, and Bossa Studios, where she was Senior Management in People and Talent, and was instrumental in implementing a four-day working week. She supplemented her professional experience with a CIPD Level 5, which expanded her understanding of how the people function works in organisations across sectors.
Milly was attracted to Octopus Ventures by our mission: to champion the pioneering businesses and founders building a better tomorrow. With a strong alignment in values, it was the perfect place to put her experience to work.
Outside the office, you can find her poring over Pinterest boards and indulging a new-found passion for interior design. She’s also an enthusiastic gig-goer and a longsuffering Portsmouth FC supporter – she thanks you for your sympathy in advance.
