Jo Oliver

Jo joined Octopus Ventures in 2009 and is a Partner in the team, sitting in the B2B Software pod. He is on the board of a number of portfolio companies including Amplience, Token.io, Trouva and Currency Fair, and was previously on the boards of Swiftkey [acquired by Microsoft], VisionDirect [acquired by Essilor], Vega-Chi [acquired by Liquidnet], Calastone [acquired by The Carlyle Group] and Zynstra [acquired by NCR].

Prior to joining Octopus, Jo was an investor and entrepreneur in a range of businesses, spending much of his previous career as an equity analyst at NatWest, Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, focussing on the Mobile Operators such as Vodafone. Jo is a qualified chartered accountant and read Natural Sciences at Durham University.  Away from work Jo tries to keep fit through a variety of sports in beautiful Dorset, where he lives with his family.
